Paintings

I paint what I see. But what I see is more than just the actual form and colours...what
​I try to paint is the energy and the spirit of Ma Natures amazing landscapes and creatures...so I call it "Mystical Realism"
A lot of them I did during my travels out in the desert in Central Australia...most of these are watercolour and ink as these are easy to travel with and  I love the glow and the interplay of light you get with watercolours...and I use inks to intensify and pick out details...
Lately since Ive been spending more time in one place in Brisbane, Ive been doing larger and larger canvas paintings in a mixture of alcohol ink and acrylic, experimenting in getting the same flowing glowing effects I can get with watercolour...
