One of a series of eucalyptus leaves painted in Central Australia, while I was working there as a remote area nurse.
the light there is so different from anywhere else in the world, and I wanted to show the intense blue sky and the warm red of the sand as well as the magical light through the leaves of the river gums that grow in the dry river bed that runs through the centre of Mbuntua (Alice springs)
